A Day at Mountain Park Academy Through My Eyes

Hi! I’m a 3-year-old at Mountain Park Academy, and I’m here to tell you all about my fun-filled day. Every day is an adventure, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

7:30 – 8:15: Arrive / Free Play

The day starts when I arrive at school. I see my friends and we run to the play area. There are so many toys! I love playing with blocks and building tall towers. Sometimes, I play with the toy kitchen and make pretend meals for my friends. It’s the best way to start the day!

8:15 – 8:35: Breakfast

When it’s time for breakfast, we all sit together at the tables. I like to eat cereal and fruit. It’s yummy and gives me lots of energy. We talk and laugh while we eat. My teachers are so nice and make sure I eat enough to be strong and healthy.

8:35 – 8:45: Diaper Changing & Personal Care Routine

After breakfast, it’s time to get cleaned up. My teacher helps me with my diaper and makes sure I’m all fresh and ready for more fun. It feels nice to be clean.

8:45 – 9:15: Free Play / Imagine Learn Discover & Grow

Then, we have more playtime! But this time, it’s a bit different. We get to explore new toys and activities that help us learn. I love puzzles and books. Sometimes, we do little science experiments. It’s so exciting to discover new things!

9:15 – 9:30: Circle Time / Alternative Free Play

Circle time is so much fun! We sit in a circle and sing songs. My favorite is “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” We also listen to stories and talk about our day. If I don’t feel like sitting, I can play quietly with toys. It’s a special time to share with my friends.

9:30 – 9:40: Clean up / Transition to Outdoors

We clean up our toys and get ready to go outside. Everyone helps, and it’s done super fast!

9:40 – 10:25: Outdoor Adventure

Outside time is the best! There are slides, swings, and places to run. I love climbing and playing in the sandbox. Sometimes, we play games together. The fresh air feels great, and we have so much fun.

10:25 – 10:35: Transition to Indoor / Cleanup

After playing, we go back inside and clean up. We all work together, and it’s done quickly.

10:35 – 10:50: Diaper Changing & Personal Care Routine

It’s time to get cleaned up again. My teacher helps me with my diaper and makes sure I wash my hands. Now I’m ready for lunch!

10:50 – 11:25: Wash Hands / Lunch & Cleanup

We wash our hands and sit down for lunch. Today, I have a sandwich and some veggies. It’s tasty, and I feel good after eating. We clean up our tables, and everyone helps out.

11:30 – 11:45: Diaper Changing & PCR & Transition

Another quick diaper change and hand wash, and then we’re ready for story time.

11:45 – 12:00: Story Time / Alternative Free Play

Story time is magical. We sit together and listen to our teacher read a book. I love stories about animals. If I want, I can also play quietly with toys. It’s a calm and happy time.

12:00 – 2:00: Mats Down, Rest Time / Quiet Time / Non-Nappers

Rest time means lying down on my mat. I like to cuddle with my blanket and sometimes fall asleep. If I don’t nap, I can look at books or play quietly. It’s a nice break to feel rested.

2:00 – 2:10: Diaper Changing & Personal Care Routine

After resting, we have another diaper change and wash our hands. Now I’m ready for a snack!

2:10 – 2:35: Afternoon Snack & Clean up

Afternoon snack is yummy! I have some fruit and crackers. It gives me energy for more playtime. We clean up our snack area, and it’s quick and easy.

2:35 – 2:45: Clean up / Transition to Outdoors

We clean up and get ready to go outside again. I can’t wait!

2:45 – 3:30: Outdoor Adventure

Back outside, we play some more. I love the swings and running around with my friends. It’s so much fun to play in the fresh air.

3:30 – 3:40: Transition to Indoor / Hand Washing

We come back inside and wash our hands. It’s almost time for music!

3:40 – 3:55: Optional Magical Music, Sing, Dance, Giggle and Wiggle & PCR

Music time is the best! We sing, dance, and move around. I love the silly songs that make me giggle. It’s a time to be silly and have fun.

3:55 – 4:25: Free Play

The day is almost over, but there’s still time for more play. I can choose my favorite toys and spend time with my friends. It’s a perfect end to a great day.

4:25 – 4:40: Diaper Changing & Personal Care Routine

One last diaper change and hand wash, and I’m all set to go home.

4:40 – 5:30: Free Play / Dismissal

As we wait for our parents, we play some more. When my mom comes to pick me up, I tell her all about my day. It’s been another amazing day at Mountain Park Academy!

I love my school because every day is filled with fun, friends, and learning. I can’t wait to come back tomorrow!
